Community First Aid Programme
First Aid is a cost effective, safe and simple way to save lives during disasters and also in day-to-day emergencies. MRC is one of the leading trainers and service providers of First Aid in the Maldives. Strengthening First Aid services, improving First Aid service quality, and increasing overall First Aid capacity of communities and service providers through targeted training is one of the key priority areas of MRC.
MRC has been one of the sole providers of First Aid trainings in the Maldives since its inception. MRC’s first aid activities first began as part of a Community Based Health and First Aid Programme. MRC’s First Aid trainings are taught through standardised syllabuses, globally recognised certificates, and with vast expertise, supported by the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. MRC provides a variety of First Aid trainings focusing on working to increase community resilience by building the capacity to deliver potentially lifesaving First Aid within the population.
