Chairperson - Mohamed Hussain

Mohamed Hussain initially volunteered with the Maldivian Red Crescent in 2020, actively contributing during the critical Covid19 response phase. Subsequently, he joined the organization as a Project Assistant for the Covid19 Immunization Project supported by the World Bank, a project focusing on creating awareness on Covid19 vaccination across communities and vulnurable groups. 

After the completion of the project, Mohamed remained an enthusiastic volunteer within the Unit supporting First Aid Services, Emergency response and supporting programmatic areas in education and the on-going ecosystem restoration initatives organised by the Unit. He is a trained Psychological First Aid and Emergency Response Trainer and supports building capacity of others within the Unit.

Beyond his involvement with the MRC, Mohamed is a licensed pilot and is an active advocate for environmental conservation, climate change. His multifaceted contributions reflect his dedication to community welfare and raising awareness about pressing environmental issues.
