Chairperson - Haisam Shareef

Haisam began volunteering with MRC supporting the Male Water Crisis response in 2014. He was also an active volunteer during MRC’s Covid-19 response supporting MRC’s Psychosocial Support Response operation and MRC’s Psychosocial Support Helpline 1415 as a volunteer. Haisam is a Trained Psychological First Aider, First Aider and has also completed MRC’s Patient Transport Ergonomics Training. During his time as a volunteer, he has supported various events, activities and emergencies and is an active volunteer supporting the Unit’s flagship patient transport service.

Haisam currently works as the Chief Operations Officer of Event Maldives Pvt Ltd where he handles the management and finances of the company and build partnerships with the customers.

With his work experience Haisam aims to strategize the targets and partnerships of the Unit and strengthen the relationship between the Unit and its members as well as volunteers. He further aims to strengthen the financial management of the Unit, improve communications, and strengthen MRC Male’ City Unit’s relationship and partnership with stakeholders to enhance the effective implementation of Programmes and further strengthen MRC’s auxiliary role to the government.
